We offer 1-to-1 individual therapy, utilising effective evidence-based interventions to support people to heal and improve their mental health.

Our approach involves:

  • People seek help for various reasons including; anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationships, personal growth and development.

    The charge for private appointment will vary depending on if you see a counsellor or psychologist.

    All appointments need to be paid prior appointment directly to the therapist you are seeing.

    Session duration will vary depending on clients needs and therapist availability.

  • Sensitive claims treatment can be access by any adult or child who experiences sexual violence in New Zealand.

    If you are unsure whether you meet ACC criteria please contact us about your situation.

    Clients can access our services through:

    self-referral

    referral from their GP through thebPrimary Mental Health Service (Waikato GPs registered with Pinnacle Primary Health Organisation)

    ACC Recovery partner

    ACC covers the full cost of counselling for sexual violence. (Note that ACC will not pay for counselling for problems it does not consider were caused by the sexual violence.)

    ACC will only pay for counselling provided by an ACC Registered Counsellor or Psychologist/Psychotherapist (Our team are ACC Registered).

  • If your GP is a member of the Pinnacle Primary Mental Health Organisation (you can check on this website Find a practice - Pinnacle) you can ask your GP to send a referral to us through the primary mental health coordinator.

    The coordinator will assess the referral and decide if they are able to send it to us.

    If your referral is accepted and allocated to us, you will be able to have 4 free Psychology sessions or 6 free Counselling Sessions depending on availability.
